You're right - I probably do not need such a course, but still I think people can learn, no matter what stage of life they are in.

I'm not angry but I was surprised. CBT is a good thing - you don't need to have a problem or be sad to take it.
I'll admit I am a bit sad at times (I guess everyone is, now and then) but it's not an overwhelming sadness. When I was younger I was a real optimist - very happy and actually laughing often.
I think right now it could be this long winter that is getting me down, plus the recent life changes are a bit tricky to deal with, but I'm the one who wanted to try retirement. Don't think I'll be rushing out to get a job again anytime soon.
It's actually quite nice to have time for myself after working for over 42 years!
