I must sadly bow out. The funds worked themselves out, but a family emergency has come up. My granddaughter's other grandmother had a catastrophic stroke so everyone is gathering there for what will likely be a farewell. Instead of flying up to Maine, we're driving up to Minnesota. Take lots of pictures for me.
:( I'm so sorry (((Lepp,))) thinking of you all.

They won't be in Bangor but still probably a good idea not to get drunk and storm their house.

"As you wish," dear Moderator... We won't storm their house.
Promise, while in Bangor, I'll be quiet as a mouse.
Won't ask for the kitchen tour (so ixnay on that Scott);
That is inconceivable (but it was worth a shot.)

King Kon's just 3 days away and I can hardly wait
And, so far, the forecast calls for weather to be great.
Looking forward to the chance to meet you face to face.
See you all on Friday night (if we can find Scott's place.)

So sorry for both missing having you here and the reason for it. Thoughts and prayers for the other grandmother.

Hey all! I AM still alive and Kon ready with t-shirt in hand! I had to wait for Stacy to let me out of the sweatshop. Sheesh, she's a slavedriver.
Anyway, a couple of questions: Marsha, do we owe you deposit money for the meeting room?
Scott, do we pay you the $23.00 or are we each getting our own separate bill at the table?
Word of advice to anyone thinking of going hiking or in woodsy areas, buy or bring tick repellant because they are rampant this year. Trust me, I know ;)

To anyone who needs a ride or can't make the tour Sunday, I will be happy to help. My car does not fit many people but anyone can contort themselves if need be. We'll have some free time before the meeting Saturday and after before dinner.
Travel safe everyone and see you soon!

...Greeting and Salivations!.....The Kon is almost upon us, and for those attending the Friday night hootenanny with the GNT family-the address to the lakehouse is as follows:

475 Beechwood Avenue
Old Town ME 04468

Also, the menu for Saturday night at the Oriental Jade has been selected by yours truly-It will run approx. $23 a head and is buffet style....I know it sounds pricey, but the cheaper version gave little choice in variety.....

Oh, I didn't realize it would be buffet. Will there be vegetarian offerings on the buffet? I'm a veggiesaurus (except for some shellfish now and again). Also, what time are we supposed to be at your place Friday? Probably says in the itinerary...I guess I should go answer my own question.

Alternately, if there aren't veggie options in the buffet, will I be able to order off the regular menu instead?

Sorry for monopolizing the thread but I have ANOTHER question.

Should I bother with the SK Tour if I'm planning on doing the caravan Sunday? I figure we'd probably be hitting most of the same places but if there's something special I'd see on the tour that I'd otherwise miss, I'll do it anyway because I have to SEE ALL THE THINGS!

...you certainly may....I wasn't aware of Vegans, so my apologies(I shoulda asked)-I DID get a couple of things on the buffet with veggies-but may not be enough to fill you up.....drop by the house anytime after 4....ALSO....need to mention this....IF the weather gets screwy, everyone is still invited and we will just order a buncha pizzas and hang out inside instead.....
