Hi there - this seemed the most appropriate place for a post - we got stuck in Toronto overnight, had about 4 hours sleep at most and just got back to Winnipeg about half an hour ago.

Looks like the tomatoes are doing well, the cat is still hiding for some reason (maybe he is shy)

Bailey! :m_joy:yoo hoo Bailey! :m_cat:Well actually he is a male but whatever - he must be mad at us I guess

and the grass has not grown all that much in the last five days.

I'm going to crash - time to crawl into my own bed and get some sleep.

Sorry I don't have the time to check conversations or postings just now but will do so once I feel more rested

You have gotten a glimpse of the cat, yes? You do know the cat is still there and okay? Just checkin'.
Hi Dana Jean,

We got delayed out of Toronto and spent a night at a hotel there (well actually more like five hours but just enough time for a few hours sleep and a hot shower) then it was back on the shuttle to catch a flight home at 6:30 a.m.

Bailey was lying low for about the first hour or two but eventually came out of hiding. He jumped up in my lap so I guess he is alright now and very glad to see us. He also slept on my bed while I was down for the power snooze.

Josh stayed up however I did notice he had fallen asleep in a sort of semi-upright position while watching TV, which was cute. I woke him up and told him to go to bed but he didn't want to. Guess he will be in bed early tonight.

All is well here - tomatoes are doing well and no problems with the house while we were gone. I would definitely do this again - Bangor is a great city!

So many nice folks there to meet and we had fun at every event - meet & greet, cookout at the Lake, special event with speakers, breakfast at Dysart's and of course the caravan to the local sights. It ended perfectly - just a wee bit of rain while taking pics in front of Stephen King's house, but no downpour.

Robert Gray is the perfect host - very knowledgeable and a great tour guide!

Thanks to all who made this such a great King Kon!

Good news for no pain, pegasus216 ! Praying for you to get some peaceful sleep, no achy legs. You're in my thoughts every day. I forgot where I saw it, so I'll put it here: I LOVE that Karen made and painted your urn! That's a wonderful idea - and you got to see it. I never thought of that, but now I want to do that too. I think that's a very special thing for both of you. Your courage is an inspiration.

The lady that teaches the ceramics class didn't charge her for it either. I thought that was really nice.
It looks pretty in the china closet. If I still had my cell phone, I'd take a picture, and post it, but I told Karen to get rid of my phone since I couldn't see the blasted thing any how.

Some of our members are here every single day in invisible mode and for whatever reason are choosing not to respond or interact with the community on the public side of the board.

I am sure they have their reasons and when ready they will join in. On occasion, I have been invisible, just one of those times you need some space but it gives me comfort to quietly sit back and read. Just knowing all of you there is very settling. When they do decide to tune in, we will be here for them. Because that is what I think this MB is. Friendship, support and no judgment as well as loads of fun and interesting too. (And that is my speech for the day.)

Yes. Thank you for saying this, Alexandra.
