He just gave out his debit card number to one of those ninnies on Facebook. He said he then blocked her and/or deleted her, but payments kept coming out for over six weeks! I didn't notice it until just recently. We went to the bank and they are going to try to recover some of the money but we have to wait to see if it will be possible.

As you know he is special needs and way too trusting, especially when it comes to money.

Plus he was "adding friends" at Facebooks suggestion, even if they were just 'friends of friends'. He also joined way too many groups.

I think that place is a hotbed of (excuse the language) sl*ts posing in provocative poses. Pretty sure most of the photos are fake and they are part of a scam. It's a bit sickening I think.

That’s terrible and it makes me livid. :rage:
I’m sorry. In the short time I had to get to know Josh, I cane to like him very much and also feel somewhat protective of him. You know I empathize with having a child with special needs because of Alex. Josh is so innocent and yes, those are fake profiles probably made by greasy men in dark corners of the world.
I’m sorry this happened.

We were thinking of watching The Amazing Race Canada because in this episode they are going through Winnipeg! I think tonight's episode is on at 7 or 8 p.m.

He already deleted 'her' and blocked her, but because he is cognitively challenged he cannot recall the name. You know what Facebook is like - once you friend one of these types then 100 more pop up as suggested 'friends'. (They have very provocative pictures showing buttocks and/or cleavage).

I have been reporting any that showed nudity or sexual activity, which is quite prevalent. There was even one drawing that involved a child which was the worst one yet (not anyone Josh had tried to friend, but a "friend of a friend") - quite disgusting.


I hope they act on these things and ban the people involved.

I’m on it for several reasons:
My work from home online teaching positions! I’m sort of a legend in the industry and I run my own group called the ESL pub, and I’m an active member of several groups for companies I work for, where colleagues from around the world can meet and share ideas, very, etc, without meeting in person.
We have a various amount of vetting for that’s groups, but I’ve had my fair share of men posing as potential tutors needing help, who end up wanting money for a marriage visa.
The majority of my facebooking is work related or personal. I have a small but growing circle of facebook friends which include my family, old friends, and new friends I don’t want to lose (tet).

oh they where doing this for money? that is bizzare and gross. and ewww yeh that whould be disturbing. when i was working at goodwill we got like 50+ porn magazines, it was disturbing. some also had children dvds. one time some stripper video ended up being sold, we had a customer come up and was like um what is this.... also we had a huge box of personal vibrators in the shape of cell phones. the girls did not realize they where vibrators. those where some good times.

oh yeh that is concerning, hope you can get some of the money back. that is a lot of money. I think you can change the friend suggestions on Facebook. under privacy i think.

I wouldn't count on it.
F....Zuckerberg made a Statement a few Weeks ago, about deleting Postings from some People
And if they won't delete these kind of Postings, the won't delete any others.

FB is just a ...........................

They have Advertisements in the newspapers here, almost every day
"The F of Facebook stands for Friendship, Freedom" etc. blablabla
