Years ago when the Rock Bottom Remainders played. Dave Barry wrote about the woman in front of Stephen in the crowd with flaming fingernails.
And sometime around that time when the group was doing their thing, a fan jumped in their limo.
Had to look this up, had no idea Matt Groening and Stephen King were in a band together.
People who complain about stepping on Legos have probably never felt the agony of stepping on an upturned electrical plug.
I've stepped on both. They both suck but the electrical plug can do more damage.

My luck with my feet is always bad. Glass and Toothpicks actively seek them out. And with my condition, I can't wear slippers and have to go barefoot all the time inside. To say that I pay attention to what's on the floor would be an understatement!
Why are there glass and toothpicks lying about?
Glass because if it hits the tile in the kitchen it breaks. And, even if it gets thoroughly swept, there's always a stray piece or three. I swept one out from under the cabinets last week that was a good 2 inches across. And nothing had broken in there for a few months. Toothpicks... they get used by the guys a lot and they are not as careful as they ought to be. They try but if there's one that escaped, I'm sure to find it.
I want to up date on rescue kitty Magic. He seems to be thoroughly enjoying his life. However, Minnie long term cat does not care for Magic.
There will be friendship eventually. Each will find it's own "place" . Calming vibes.
The Rock Bottom Remainders did mostly covers (or made up new lyrics) of old rock and roll songs, so a far cry from punk/new wave. Not sure where that rumor got started.

What song does the Rock Bottom Remainders sing where Steve changed the lyrics to "a piece of liver, in her hair?" It's one of those teen, poodle-skirt car crash songs.
It's not coming to me but will take a look at their set list (think there's one in Mid-Life Confidential) and see if it rings any bells.
Dave writes about it in Midlife. If I'm remembering right, the group who did the song asked them to quit changing the lyrics to something so graphic -- or I could be making that up. Now I'm going to have to read that book again!
The one good thing about the situation, with Dave laying there on the stage unable to move, I can swoop in and get some quality face time.
