I’m not posting about this publicly (like on FB), but my seventeen year old was in a car accident last night. The car is totaled but he walked away. He swerved to avoid hitting an animal on his way home from work at Canobie. He was on route 28 and lost control of the car. It spun all the way around and he hit an old New England stone wall, about a mile from the Robert Frost Farm.
I’m pretty rattled about it but he is okay.
To make matters worse, someone reported the preschool I work for to the state and made unfair and wrong claims about staff. Of course we are a small center and it became exceedingly clear that a staff member made the complaint.....(4 of us...one gave notice and quit)....so the investigation began today
I’m at my wits end with stress right now and I feel like bad things happen in threes so I’m waiting for the other shoe to drop.
I know I should just be grateful that Danny wasn’t hurt.

Glad to hear your son is okay, sounds like he was very lucky.
Sounds like your co worker has some personal vendetta. Hopefully it will not take long for the State to see through this waste of time
and all will be back to normal soon. ((( Nomik )))

Lol I remember you waltzing into the head shop in Bangor looking for “herbal tea”....
Healing vibes. Plenty of liquids and rest if you can.

Neesy Nomik
 Oh Neesy what are we going to do with you.
Nomik, remember those safety harnesses they used to have for toddlers. Wonder if they make them for adults? ;);):smile:

This was posted in a Stephen King related group on FB; some lucky gal got her picture with him! Yes, it was Canada, no, I do not know why. He's Stephen King and he can go to Canada if he feels compelled??? I actually wish I knew.

He was in Port Hope, a very pretty little town In Eastern Ontario. Been there a few times on my way to Ottawa. It's known as 'the prettiest town in Ontario'. Anyways, SK was there doing a cameo for 'Largo'.

...Frank....several shots of whiskey.....straight from the bottle....ETOH will not cure the common cold, but it helps you to not give a tin sh*t.....

Have some fried green tomatoes for me. They are soooo good.
Sorry I cannot right now - today is weigh-in day at Weight Watchers so I am trying to drink more water and stay away from the fried stuff.

I did try some acorn squash recently which turned out to be quite nice when baked - sort of like pumpkin. I did it with an orange and maple syrup glaze which was only a couple of points and the squash itself is free (0 points).

Hey - maybe Nomik would like to try the recipe!

Now you have me thinking - how many points in fried green tomatoes? :umm::question_pig:

You can plant tomatoes here Neesy, although they'd probably melt, 91 friggin degrees here today....Isn't Fall supposed to be around here somewhere???
I had to move my smaller plants into the garage which is insulated and now they are under a grow light. Our growing season up here is quite short.

This was taken on Friday and since that time I have noticed some tiny tomatoes starting to form so I guess that light I bought is a good one.

I went to a place called Ready, Set, Grow and the guy was quite helpful.
