Alexandra M That sounds terrifying - so glad you are OK. Do you have a "neighborhood watch" or other neighborhood group who keep an eye on things and know when it's time to call the police? It would be helpful for certain.

Neesy I'm glad you're leg is feeling better. A "big crack" in your foot - like dry skin? That hurts. Take care of yourself - lotion/oil your feets up! How's Andy?

Guys: the Ogre is the same way - you'd never know he's sick except he's a bit more ogre-ish. No whining. I'm the crybaby when I'm sick. I need my own private nurse to bring me my meds, make me drink the ginger ale, run me a hot bath, get the vaporizer running with the Vicks, bring me more blankets, turn the tv in my direction. I hate being sick worse than anything. When I die, I hope it's swift for my family's sake. Woe to anyone who has to take care of an ailing me.

Time got by me this week. I know today at work is going to be ghastly, but I wanted to come by and wish you all well before we're off for the weekend.

I am going to a wine tasting tomorrow with a fellow wine loving friend. We're going to uber there and back!

Just wanting you to know I'm thinking of you all. I'm still in for Secret Santa. Hopefully mid-December I'll have a little more down time.

Stay cozy!

As far as I know there is not Neighbourhood Watch in this city. During the summer there were 4 very large men walking the area at night and they definitely cleaned up the area. There was no one on the streets or at the park/creek for close to a month. But then 'they' started filtering back to this area and carried on, where they left off.
About the car fires across the street from my building. It turns out they had video surveillance. It clears shows a young man starting the fires. First on one side of the garage then he went to the other side of the garage and started another. Not sure how he got in as there are security gates. All dressed in black and a hoodie and it was still dark when he started them. Cannot see him
clearly so not sure if it will be of help apprehending him. Total of 11 vehicles destroyed.

Hope I downloaded the video right....

How is your foot doing, is it any better?

Hi there - doctor gave me a prescription for compression stockings (1 pair) and it's covered by my Blue Cross. I have several pairs already that I bought when I was at HSC [I got a 10% discount]. He says that should help if I wear these every day. Luckily I have at least 4 or 5 other pairs or I'd be doing a lot of hand-washing.

My blood test results came back very good overall, apart from a slight anemia (my MCV count is down but I have normal hemoglobin).

He poo-pooed my idea of having a septic anemia due to going to that nail salon. Hmmm - come to think of it, he is Vietnamese too! =D :smile::facepalm_smiley: - It's a conspiracy I tell ya {just kidding}

(This is my back-up doctor - the one who has a walk-in clinic). He gave me a copy of my test results to give to my regular doctor.

How's your health? Is everything okay these days?

Neesy Sounds like he is being thorough, which is good. Hope the pain has lessened.
My MRI is FINALLY scheduled (and that is after being put on a high risk listing) for January. Some days are pretty bad. Went to the Dr. this week and he gave me different pain meds, T4's, 120 of them with a repeat every 25 days. The others were not covered by B.C. prescription plan and too, they just were not working. Going for blood work next week. I will be glad when surgery day gets here.
