I ate some a few nights ago and am having a hard time harnessing the anxiety right now. Trying to tell myself that I'll be okay because it was organic (but in this case, the chemicals probably would've helped).
mine was organic as well. I'm going to say we are safer than those other romaine eaters.

- This advice includes all types or uses of romaine lettuce, such as whole heads of romaine, hearts of romaine, and bags and boxes of precut lettuce and salad mixes that contain romaine, including baby romaine, spring mix, and Caesar salad.
- If you do not know if the lettuce is romaine or whether a salad mix contains romaine, do not eat it and throw it away.
- Wash and sanitize drawers or shelves in refrigerators where romaine was stored. Follow these five steps to clean your refrigerator.

Vegetarians are going to have one less thing that they can eat.
Not to burst anyone's bubble, but Escherichia coli is an organic life form. (Well, life forms usually are organic, you dolt.)

I ate Romaine lettuce on Monday too.
On Bob and Tom this morning, one of their guests sang a song to the tune of Cocaine called, Romaine. He was pretty funny.
This warning really got my attention because I don't think I've ever heard the CDC issue such a stark warning before. Usually they pinpoint the source and tell you not to eat a product from a certain region or what states the product is being sold in. This warning was just, "GET RID OF ALL OF IT NOW!"
The CDC report says there have been 32 cases across 11 states.
Yeah, no one wants to see that, but if you ate romaine in the US this past week, the chances of catching an E. coli infection are still pretty small. Go ahead, throw it away, watch for symptoms, but don't worry.

E.Coli is considered a normal flora in the intestines. Certain strains, such as possible in this outbreak , can cause serious health issues. Just be safe and do not eat any!
Not to belittle this, but, I hope Bugs Bunny is doing OK.
