Here's a thought: Steve's going to be retiring in the future at some point so why not just let him be The Moderator? He's going to have lots of time on his hands.
I liked this then unliked it so I could like it again.

A Grimace is what you want,a Grimace is what you shall have!
Did you know that when you hold your breath too long all that happens is that you pass out? Here's a thought: Steve's going to be retiring in the future at some point so why not just let him be The Moderator? He's going to have lots of time on his hands.
(((Kurben))) Many people here have joined osnafrank's group so that might be an option for you to keep in touch with kindred souls. You might even see me there one day. This talk of shutting down, even if gradually, makes me cry. This is the only board join regularly. But you have certainly earbed and deserve a nice retirement, Marsha. See my tears as a salute to you and all the members i interact with here. I should warn you, I intend to go down with the ship.
I don't think he'd ever stop writing, but that doesn't mean he has to continue publishing and all the public commitments that go along with that. What's that line in some movie and some guy say's "I'll never retire!". King ain't going to retire, I know that for a fact even though I don't know him but I sort of get where he comes from. He most probably will just cut down on the hours of writing. When my father retired after injuring his leg at work he'd sit around in front of the television and he'd sigh and my mother would say 'Why are you sighing all the time?"

Is it just the SKMB, or are the offices also going to be affected in 2020?I don't think he'd ever stop writing, but that doesn't mean he has to continue publishing and all the public commitments that go along with that.
If your actual question is what is going to be affected as it relates to Steve and his writing, that's something he's still pondering. He's given me a possible scenario but that's not something that is appropriate to make public at this time as it could change. Is it just the SKMB, or are the offices also going to be affected in 2020?

I wouldn't recommend that for most situations. Exceptions are always possible, though--e.g. when you're under water, in a fire/smoke situation, attending a protest and the police have released smoke grenades, etc.So... Don't hold your breath?
Or getting HT removed? Oh... no... I didn't go there. j/kI wouldn't recommend that for most situations. Exceptions are always possible, though--e.g. when you're under water, in a fire/smoke situation, attending a protest and the police have released smoke grenades, etc.
Ahhh....those are separate things in that the one can continue without the other (SKMB). The plan at the moment is to continue the web site after my retirement since there is much more in the SK universe than just the books which would not directly involve the publishers.Or getting HT removed? On a more serious note I get the majority of my information regarding future publications, signed books, sweepstakes, tidbits about SK and his prior works, etc from stephenking.com. I know the SKMB will be going away but I was wondering about the website and the information it provided. I was wondering if the rest would be handled by the publishers or elsewhere. I understand it is probably too early to give details but you know someone’s eventually gonna ask.
Thanks. Good to know that not all will be lost and moved to third parties.Ahhh....those are separate things in that the one can continue without the other (SKMB). Do ya think we'd be allowed to use bad language and post provocative photos?View attachment 28962
He'd put a stop to all our tomfoolery and shenanigans. Nothing would be "overlooked".
Nah, it'd be pretty awesome, wouldn't it?
