I'm not one of those women so can't answer that for you. In fact, I detest shoe shopping and only go when I absolutely have to. My sneakers currently have holes in the mesh part but until it gets to the point that I'd be embarrassed to wear them in public they'll do just fine and for the black ones, I can just wear black socks and voila, no one knows the difference! :)
LOL. I'm the same way about shoe shopping and have taken to ordering them online. Your sneakers sound exactly like mine, and I wear them in public and rocking the homeless guy vibe. They're pretty bad and time to get a new pair... but I'm waiting until the wife and kids build up some Kohl's cash. :)

I'm with you! I hate shoe shopping. Scott has way more pairs of shoes than I do. I walk around barefoot and in my flip flops 95% of the time. Even in winter!

Shopping for shoes is the worst, Mom always has the bright idea to bring all 3 children shoe shopping at once around the end of August. I have like two pairs of barely worn sneakers and sandals because I insist on wearing the ones from 2 and a half years ago.

All shoe stores are the same, cramped area full of out of control children and irritable parents screaming at them, meanwhile mom takes 45 minutes testing out each pair of shoes while the store is blasting radio hits at an unreasonably high volume over the PA system.

I’ve taking on an added shift tonight at the home improvement center so the department can go to an AAA baseball game with all you can eat. So I’m on alone… inmate running the asylum kinda thing. Discounts galore! I'll blame it on the meds from a fall running up the steps to the deck I took over the weekend and injured my wrist, split the big toe nail in half and did a number on my shoulder blade. Did that after returning from the emergency room and waiting 2 hours for the wife who broke her toe in the morning.
Are you in competition with ghost19 for number of accidents and trips to the ER? ;) Healing vibes for you both!!

LOL... thanks.. My folder at the doctor's office was almost a foot thick before they digitized the records. And that was my second doctor... the first doctor never forwarded my files after I moved, and his was even thicker.

LOL. How true... finally a legit reason to buy a new pair of shoes. Her toe got all black and blue and half the foot was also black and blue. She was afraid she might have broken the foot in addition to the toe, but it turned out just being a fractured little toe. She's not following doctors order's and is just wearing sandals or slippers.

And she already has like 50 pairs of shoes... What is it with women and shoes? It's like some highly addictive drug or something. :)
Agree about shoe shopping. Thought I was the only one that did the black socks with the blk athletic shoes!

Went to the nutritionist today. I have plateaued weight wise. I'm 1lb. heavier than the last visit 3 months ago. I have reached the limit of what dietary changes alone are going to do. I now have to start strength training and calorie counting. BOO! However, it's been a year on the weight loss journey and I've lost a total of over 30 lbs. I've got about another 12 to go to reach my target.

After I finish working I''ll grab a quick bite to eat and then head off to rehearsal. The BBQ where I'm playing in two bands is a week from Saturday. I have rehearsal for the second band playing that BBQ tomorrow night as well as a guitar lesson and musician's workshop. Thursday night it's off to the dentist for my 6 month cleaning. Friday night I have an evening conference call with the project team from my MBA class. I also have a crap ton of homework to do. I'll most liikely have another rehearsal over the weekend. All on top of my regular work schedule and BrodyDog walks. I need a clone!
Strength training sounds good. Have you thought of something as simple as a walking program? It won't do much for your upper body strength (unless you use "urban poles" but it will help burn up calories and possibly rev up your metabolism.

Urban poling is also known as Nordic Walking.

I'm already walking about 2 - 3 miles per day with the Brodster. Need to find another exercise outlet.

Sorry D.J. you wouldn't have that link to the live cams you posted before, the only ones I can find show the Budapest zoo:rolleyes:
Well, it's night there now, but here's one. Of course, she would have to swim out there or be on a boat close by.

And there are some live streams of the festival itself.

THere is this one, but appears offline at the moment?

They don't seem to have any street views, just faraway shots.

Scroll down through the list on the link below. There is a downtown one but I don't have the adobe flash player to see it and a couple of others depending on where she is and where she is going.

Today I have not really accomplished all that much (yet). I have a loaf of home made bread baking in the oven that I started making a couple of hours ago.

I'm taking Josh to the podiatrist later to have the surgery on his two big toes (having toe nails removed).

We caught a poor stray cat in our live trap squirrelly cage thingamabob, but as it was a holiday here (Civic holiday this past Monday) I had to let him or her go. Poor thing - I really wanted to take it in to the Animal Services so it could be taken care of. I am pretty sure they spay or neuter them, then try to adopt them out.

Yesterday I finally bought a pair of those Urban Walking Poles - I went to the Wellness Centre and the guy there showed me how to use them. We went for a nice walk out on their outdoor walking path.

Now I'm going for a nice soak in the tub, just as soon as the timer goes off on my bread!
