Sorry to hear that. The youngest spent Monday in an ER in Washington, DC for the flu also when the University clinic sent her there for being extremely dehydrated.
Sending best wishes to her for a speedy recovery. I don't normally get a flu shot as it's been many, many years since I've had the flu but this year made an exception under protest because my pregnant pharmacist daughter insisted I have one before my grandson was born. I do not plan to admit to her it might have helped me get over this faster or even that I had the flu at all.
We'll see if I get one next year since there won't be the pressure of not being able to see a new grandchild if I don't.

Thank you. She’s now able to keep things down since receiving an IV and nausea meds. Monday was also her birthday. We sent her down a birthday package and in it was an electric blanket she wanted. She says it has been a lifesaver the last couple of days. She can’t go back to classes until tomorrow. Both her and her roommate have the flu and they're both in bed moaning away. Other students on the floor put a quarantine sign on their dorm door.
