Ever see a Paul McCartney concert??
Sadly, no. Only on TV. George was my favorite Beatle so that is who I chose to go see (even though he gave me the finger after the concert when I took a picture of him outside the venue door after the concert when I returned to the concert hall to make a phone call because our car broke down). Will try and see Ringo this Fall, and maybe Paul someday before it's too late. I did know the brother of the drummer who played in Wings with him. Paul and Linda didn't treat the members very good and pretty much paid them an hourly rate.

Watch this... it's pretty funny.

I saw Stephen King's books on CBC television twice in one day. I was watching a British Soap opera called 'Coronation Street' with the wife yesterday and a bookshelf in the background of Roy Croppers apartment held 'Rose Madder'. Then we were watching a new limited series on CBC called 'Wild Bill' with Rob Lowe as an American cop in the English countryside. He solved a crime because the person, supposedly dead, returned his library book afterwards. The book was 'Pet Semetary'. It was nice to see.

I love the little pub concert and his visit in his old home!

I think the number one side effect from boredom is eating too much. :) I've been careful not to buy anything like cookies or candy to have around during this. Cookies, ice cream and boredom go so good together.
I treat myself to 2 scant cups of fresh-ground coffee/day. But I make one dish that feeds at lest 4, and that’s what I eat in a 24-hr. period. Or more. Right now I have dried hominy soakitg for tomorrow’s Hominy and Cheese Casserole with fresh-chopped jalapeños, sour cream, and my precious Hatch gren chili powder.

There are 3 kinds of meals I prepare (mostly): (1) casseroles; (2) soups/stews/chowders; (3) sandwiches. They’re all easy to make, can be thrown together from your pantry, fridge, and freezer, can feed a family once or a single person like me for a day or more, can be frozen, and are both satisfying and easy to eat.

My current favorite thing is to buy a rotisserie chicken from the store (at $6.59, t’s way cheaper than a raw chicken), While I’m waiting for my bus ride home, my not-so-secret joy is to sit on a bench and eat all that delicious skin. Then when I want chicken for a casserole or a soup (whatever version), I just tear it off the carcass. If I’m in the mood for sandwiches, I make a chicken salad — I have a zillion different recipes — and toast ciabatta rolls on my griddle. I have loads of fused EVOOs (courtesy of Sciabica’s in CA, Sciabica's California Olive Oil – Since 1936) and I use either the lemon or the garlic oil to toast the rolls with, using the griddle press to get really nice, flattish toast. I also use Spam to make a Hawaiian scramble with jalapeños, red onion, and canned pineapple — It makes a fabulous sandwich or pizza/flatbread topping or tortilla/burrito/quesadilla filling.

if any of that appeals to you, I have lots more.
