Into the Labyrinth (2019)

The film tells the story of Samantha (Valentina Bellè) who's abducted on the way to school by a giant rabbit. Fifteen years later, she's in hospital, in shock but alive, with Doctor Green (Dustin Hoffman) beside her, trying to help her remember. Together, they negotiate Samantha's memories of the labyrinth, an underground prison, apparently with no way out, in which someone forced the young woman to play games and solve riddles and puzzles, rewarding her successes and punishing her failures. Also eager to solve the mystery is Bruno Genko (Toni Servillo) — a private investigator with a surprising talent. He doesn't have much longer left to live and, as such, Samantha's could be the last case Bruno works on.

Very weird but also very good.

it`s based on the Book ""Lùmo del Labirinto.
The performance is great and it has some nice twists.

Ford vs. Ferrari I turned this on for my husband, I figured he would enjoy it. I was mostly reading at the beginning but 1/3 of the way in, it had my full attention too. I enjoy Matt Damon always, but I do not like Christian Bale at all, I avoid movies he is in. But I will give him credit where credit is due for this movie. He made me forget that I don't like him.

Knives Out. I have been looking forward to watching this for forever and I fell asleep halfway through it. It was not exactly what I thought it would be going in, but I was enjoying it. I will be going back to finish it. Only thing I did not really like was Daniel Craig and a Southern accent. :no_pig:That was weird.

Why don't you like Christian Bale? Is it because of American Psycho?

Probably because he is English, Cat has a thing against the English for some reason. :) Especially handsome Englishmen.

I don't think I ever made it through that movie. I don't know, he seems like kind of a not very nice guy. And full of himself. I hated his Batman, but I think because I loved Michael Keaton's Batman. He just rubs me the wrong way.
Oh, I see. I thought it might be one of those deals where an actor plays a villain so well that viewers hate them in every movie thereafter, LOL. Kind of like the guy who played the warden in Shawshank. I hated him so much that I can't view him as anything different.

I believe in two things: discipline and the Bible. Here you'll receive both. Put your trust in the Lord; your ass belongs to me. Welcome to Shawshank.

Yeah, maybe on a subconscious level, that is where it started. I never finished American Psycho, so it makes sense.

Did you have to return some videotapes?
No, I didn't like it. I turned it off.

I meant to put this in my above reply to Doc Creed. Hubby watched a western with John Cusack in it the other night that I slept thru :)biggrin-new: recurring theme!) called Never Grow Old and he said that Cusack's character was so vile it made you not want to like John Cusack anymore. It must have been bad! He said the movie was very dark but good.
