    Did anyone else cry?

Cried for days, every time I thought of it.

11/22/63 -- After the final dance? Spoiler alert

I loved this book, particularly because of the ending. I like to think that perhaps Sadia and Jake became friends after the dance. I would have loved for Jake to stick around and over time fill Sadie in on their life in that different time, but I don't think SK had that in mind for them.

    Why did Jake ....?

I've left it for a couple of weeks before reading the ending again. No where near emotional and could think about things a little better. Thanks for encouraging me to have another look.

    Re-read?

I liked this book. It had been a while since I had read a King story so I really enjoyed coming back to familiar terrority. I enjoyed the idea of the cell signal turning the majority into zombies. One of my kids would sit in from of the tv with a lap top in her lap and a phone in her hand...

    TEAR JERKERS!

The Color Purple was the first film to make me cry in a cinema. Steel Magnolias always gets the tears going.

    Why did Jake ....?

I can certainly appreciate the mercy for Jake, but how so for Sadie?

    Why did Jake ....?

I like your thoughts, although after he told her his name was Jake, she stopped calling him George, unless they were in public.

    The last dance *spoilers*

After having read the alternate ending, I still liked the ending published in the book. Of course, it wouldn't be what I wanted for Jake and Sadie, but the ending is just one of the things that makes it a great story.

    The last dance *spoilers*

I actually never thought about Jackie during those last few pages, but now I think that is a very symbolic tie in to the book. Maybe not being an American and being only a toddler through those first years after the assassination made a difference. Thinking about it now, my first recognition of...

    G'day Everyone!

I'm new to the board, but a long time King fan. I look forward to reading the views of others and sharing my own thoughts to the discussions.

Tell Us About Your "first Time"

My first King book was 'The Shining'. I was around 15 and looking for something to read in my school library. I think I may have picked it up because I had heard something about the movie. It scared me witless, but I loved it. There were no other King books in the school library and my home town...

    The last dance *spoilers*

This is my first post and will contain spoilers. I was extremely surprised at my response to the ending of ‘11.22.63’. Never have I felt so emotional about two characters from a story, but I’ve cried for days afterwards whenever I thought about Jake and Sadie. I thought I was going crazy to...
