A few have mentioned WWZ- I enjoyed it, but have a hard time calling it terrifying. Good book, enjoyed the accounts, but was left wanting to know more of each character. Recently I read a similar story about an AI uprising. It was called something like Robolypse, or Robapocolypse. Same style as WWZ- accounts from after the war. However, it contained more of a story and you didn't have to infer as much. Also not terrifying in my mind, but a great story.
I think I grabbed it because of the neat looking cover, but as I recall there was a quote from King on top, praising it.

I would've re-watched the movie MANY times
if that scene was excluded!!
Haven't read the book yet-was the movie even close, or a loosely-based adaptation?
A verry very loosely based adaption. The book is way better. I recommend the book, was very disappointed in the movie.
