Amanda Todd case: RCMP detail 5 charges against Dutch citizen - British Columbia - CBC News

B.C. RCMP announced charges at a news conference late Thursday afternoon against a 35-year-old Dutch citizen in connection with the online sexual extortion of Amanda Todd, the B.C. teen who killed herself in October 2012.

Amanda Todd was the teen who had been convinced by a stranger to flash her breasts. The guy then tried to blackmail her with the pictures to get her to flash more. She refused, and he spread the pictures through her friends on-line. She went through bullying in person and on-line, and eventually posted a YouTube video of herself holding flash cards. After she committed suicide that video went viral.
Well. It's taken a year and a half, but they've made an arrest.
