For some reason I've been thinking about this movie again recently. It's been some years since I've seen it, and longer since I've read the book (mid-80s). Got my hands on the extended edition this evening and I'm about to dive in. If I'm not back from the Overlook in a couple of hours, somebody please come get me.

Howdy Steffan. Enjoy! I've always been a big Kubrick fan. I thought that his Shining movie was very good. I liked the T.V. miniseries one as well (but it was no Kubrick). Of course I'm speaking of movies not books. The book was better than both.
