I'm a big fan of his work; he's an amazing actor. In his personal life I think he comes off as a kind of a jerk, veering dangerously into Sean Penn territory. But when I see a story like this, I let that go - what a cool and selfless thing to do. Bravo Johnny!

A few weeks ago he surprised people taking the Pirate ride (or maybe it was the Small World ride, whichever one has pirates in it) at Disney Land (or World) was all dressed up in his pirate garb from the movie and stood still with the other pirates inside until the people were next to him and then started singing or something. Guess he needs to put himself 'out there' so he can make some money? Oh well, he's always been a good guy in my book.
