No, I haven't seen an advanced screening of Deadpool 2. I'm just completely looking forward to it. And it's a delayed gratification thing because I don't do opening weekends. Don't like the crowds and don't like the seat selection. Although if the Eldest calls me up and says, "Let's go!" Grandma says I should.

Deadpool was just so original right from the opening credits - especially the opening credits. It's only original when done for the first time. I can't see how a sequel can stay original, but I'd be happy enough for a continuation of the madcap energy of the first, and the trailers have persuaded me that it just might deliver.

Anyway, here's the thread for people who are as curious, and maybe hungry, for this one as I am.

Morning, sir!

Yes, yes, yes and YES!!! ghost19 turned me onto Deadpool and it was awesome. I watched it twice in one weekend. I hope to go watch it on the big screen after the hubbub dies down a little.

Here's something DP cool:

Deadpool hijacked the DVD covers of 16 movies sold at Walmart

Take care, Grandpa!

...you and I are both in the same "camp" with this one Gpa....out of the dozen or so trailers and promos I've watched-I don't think we'll be disappointed.....the same intelligent lunacy will abound.....

SAW IT!!!!

The Eldest wanted to treat his old man, and who am I to turn that down?

It was fun. Darker than the previous in its dark-comedy way. Yeah, don't expect the pleasingly shocking freshness of the first one, but it held its own. Everyone was great in their roles. You might not see your couple old faves quite as often as you want. But they did fine.

And the ending credits sequence made it. On several levels. No spoiler. Just a statement.
