I haven't read a Thurber in a long time. I had an in high school that loved Thurber and assigned us a few. I also remember on Keith Olberman's show, he used to read a Thurber story at the end of his Friday show.

That was how I found Thurber again. KO is a big fan. I found a couple of old books in Vancouver and reacquainted myself with his oeuvre. I do miss KO, he read Thurber so well.

This story reminded me of a slapstick comedy-- three stooges. The way the relatives, all a tad peculiar, acted out their part. A nice read-- Thank you, Tery for suggesting it. Be careful of your bed!!

Glad you enjoyed it. I thought something light would be nice after the dark ones we'd been reading.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go tie down my bed. ;)

....being the lover of the paranormal that I am, I was charmed by the fact that his house actually DOES have some unusual activity in it....
