In this day and age, there's not many newscasters left in her class.

The PBS Newshour devoted most of the show to her tonight.
She was a class act. She always came off to me as someone who was very down-to-Earth and a warm hearted person. R.I.P.
That was a wonderful tribute. It just goes to show you there are still intelligent, dedicated journalists out there.
In interviews or as a debate moderator or any other time I watched her work, she always came off as friendly as she asked difficult questions. I think some interviewers think they have to seem mean to seem tough but she was not like that and could still get to the point with the best of them.
The tribute on PBS was great and if anyone wants to see it, PBS usually runs the previous day's newscast on their website. It's well worth watching.
