Hello all I"m Fred. Long time Stephen King reader (Constant Reader and proud of it!) and budding writer. The reading bug bit me at age 13 and I was an avid reader of Science Fiction mostly until several friends insisted I try SK. Even though I had no real interest in the "Horror" genre, theirs were opinions I valued. I picked up Night Shift figuring I'd try him out in small doses. I was surprised because some of those stories seemed more like SF to me than Horror. Been hooked ever since.
About a decade ago I began writing in earnest and I think the reading bug that bit me at age 13 deserted me for another impressionable young 13 yr old! These days I rarely read anything other than my own work. And the occasional SK novel...
I found Everything's Eventual that had been lost during a couple of moves and realized I had not read it even though I bought it when it was new on the bookstore shelf.
