Hi,

the reason why I registered on this website is mostly to ask a question :)
I am currently reading 11/22/63 and there is a question that keeps coming back over an over in my mind.
The following is a very minor spoiler (the information I disclose is in chapter 1).
The main character has a certain number of doubts and fears regarding time travel, however, what my major fear would be if I were the one to go back in time as described in the book is not yet addressed half way-ish through the story line:
What would happen if Al went through the time warp DURING the 2 minutes that would last Jake's time travel?
Ok, it might be something that the author did not think about, or it might be a later twist in the book, but knowing that each time travel is a reset, I would be VERY concerned that someone else might reset the past while I'm there...

Seems like a valid fear to me. I'd be greatly surprised if Mr. King hadn't thought about every contingency to time travel in his novel--he's good that way :) Welcome!

Hi there! Unlike the other two who addressed your question, I will be like king family fan and just say "Hello and welcome to the SKMB!" - come back and ask more questions or just discuss his work with others - it is a great site!

p.s. That's what my dear old Mom told me (re your thread title). She said her Mom in Scotland had warned her about men - she said "They are only after one thing, Ina!" :biggrin-new: (but it was not a question about Stephen King they wanted! :eek-new:

Thanks for your post. I have 11/22/63 but haven't really had the desire to read it because I thought it was going to be all political. You've made me want to read it. I will keep your question in mind :)

Please keep reading, this is addressed, though not necessarily DIRECTLY, at the end of the book. Once you've finished if you missed what I am talking about, then please PM me and I will point it out.

Oh and welcome, blah blah blah, salutations, glad you're here... all that stuff. :)

Thank you, I sure will, don't expect it to be any time soon however, I'm a commute reader, it takes me ages to go through a novel this size :)

It's not really all that political in my opinion. It is a love story and a fantasy about time travel - oh goodness, it is SO good! I don't own this book but I want to buy one. I got my copy from the library. Give it a try @no bounce no play!

Hi and welcome to the SKMB. Glad you are enjoying 11/22/63. Continue to read, you will come to new understandings about your question. Keep posting too. Would like to read your thoughts once you have finished the book. The SKMB is a grand place for discussion and fun too.
@Spideyman - you are one of the few people who can use that word "grand" and make it sound good! (and you're not even Irish! [or are you? :Do_O]
