aw hell no! The wind can make or break a winter walk to the car. When is spring? Spring is close. My bulbs I planted in the fall are showing.I am so over winter...It can be majestic. However, when it is a negative 45 wind chill last Wednesday...I am done.
That groundhog better be right!aw hell no! The wind can make or break a winter walk to the car. When is spring? Spring is close. My bulbs I planted in the fall are showing.
I know! I planted like 300+ bulbs last year. Took me forever. I was running out of places to put them. I walked outside the other day during a mild moment to do some clean up and saw all these little sprouts! That groundhog better be right!
If you get a cold snap, find some mulch or old sheets to cover. Watch the frost!I know! I planted like 300+ bulbs last year. Took me forever. I was running out of places to put them. I walked outside the other day during a mild moment to do some clean up and saw all these little sprouts!
My first thought was, "good! the squirrels didn't dig them all up and eat them!" Then my next thought was, "Crap! it's too soon, they're all gonna die!"
That it is. My nephew sent me this photo from Chicago. Temperature at the time must have been minus thirty or more. Not a good idea, to be out on such a cold day. That is a stunning image!
