Yes do. And might I add to bring lots of money. The holders of rights like that.
Yes it is very important to follow your passion. You know what you were put here to do, regardless of what anybody tells you. And some will try to persuade you off track.Well, I did things a little out of sequence. I wrote a complete script (179 pages) for a prequel/sequel to the movie Christine, then contacted the producer of the original movie. After a couple of e-mails, he replied and politely but firmly told me it is currently way too expensive and complicated (several entities own rights to the franchise) to produce a sequel. He would not even read my script because he has been bombarded with them and he thought most of them were not good, so he has stopped accepting them.
This was another time where it would help to have an agent, but I have been unable to find one, yet, as people here are probably really tired of hearing me constantly whine about.
I thought this roadblock would happen, but I felt so strongly about this project that I went ahead and wrote it anyway, if only just to clear my tiny little brain of the story. Being a huge gear head and classic car and music fan was a big factor, too.
I have no regrets about writing it, and I strongly encourage you to go forward with your plans. Life is way too short to not follow your dreams.
I agree. It's like Andy in Shawshank Redemption said, "get busy living, or get busy dyin." I like your motto too.Do whatever you can get away with has been my motto for life.
Um for instance that last smiley. Holy BJ Batman.
lol, i didn't understand your comment about the icon until now. you have a very vivid imagination, but that's the writer's curse. sooner or later, it gets you in trouble. sometimes fun trouble. just whatever you do, don't let it get you into one of those jackets that make you hug yourselfOh jeez. That last smiley is somebody on a laptop and not a lap. My mind goes right to bad every time.
Welcome aboard! "Has it ever occurred to you that part of being a parent is tryin' to kill your kids?" Now I'm curious, what makes you curious?Hi there, now I'm curious, which film were you looking to pen a sequel for?

It's the type of book I can read twice and still enjoy.Classic Arnie quote. Now I'm itching to read Christine all over again, damn it's been over fifteen years! And to answer you, I guess I'm just curious about anything and everything in this crazy old world of ours.
