Hi there Stephen/Mr. King,

I'm reading your book, On Writing, recommended to me by my 20 year old son who is in Recovery. He said, "Mom, you've GOT to read Stephen King's On Writing!" He said it with such passion that I did, even though I am neither an aspiring writer nor have I ever read any of your books(I hate to admit). That is all going to change.

What I wanted to share with you, Stephen is that I just happened to see you this a.m. on Today promoting your new book Revival and I really loved the way you handled the interview with Mr. Lauer. When he asked you about believing in God, I was touched by your answer with regards to addiction. The facts that I was reading your book On Writing because my younger of the Recovering sons(2 of 4 kids) recommended it, YOU understand Addiction and Recovery and my son is recently getting over yet another relapse(6mos ago) and your book means so much to him (and now me), I just HAD to reach out to you. I want you to know that I really do(and I suspect you hear that often) respect you greatly.

Your book On Writing, is fun to read, interesting, funny and inspiring. I've already recommended it to so many folks and my husband is not-very patiently waiting for me to finish it. Thank you for writing it AND finishing it after your horrible accident. You are an inspiration to me and I'm so glad my son wanted to share this book with me. I look forward to beginning to read some of your books....but where to begin? Hmmm.

All the very best luck in all you do, but I don't think you need it!
Take care,
Megan Horstmann

p.s. I found your list of recently read books so interesting.
