When I was a little girl and smoking was en vogue, I took a carton of my granddad's cigarettes and wrapped them to give back to him as a xmas present. I was so excited I was giving a present, I didn't think about taking something that he already owned! ha!I once wrapped a broken paddle ball thingy and gave it to my brother for Christmas. I was ten, okay? Oddly enough, it was the next year he gave me a pack of Altoids and mouthwash... that I already had.
We were such thoughtful children...
I saved one of my son's "letter to Santa". He decided confession was the best route to a good present. "I was good most of the time. I flushed <brother's> toy down the toilet."I loved the kid's card because of the message on it. It reminds me of the cards my daughter used to make for me. I remember one that said "I don't know why I love you but I do". I laughed because it reminded me of the old song, but mostly because it was from her loving little heart.
