I liked the way he handled the growing paranoia of the writer.
It was definitely a progression, which SK wrote very well. I couldn't get the movie out of my head, though - the entire time I was reading the story. I think no bounce no play was the one who felt that way too.

I read it a little while ago, so it is not fresh in my mind but I have only see a wee snippet of the movie on TV, so I haven't been ruined for life!

The Library Policeman for next week. Actually I thought maybe we should split this story into two weeks of discussion, since it's almost 200 pages long. I was thinking the first ten chapters for next week - unless we hear from VL and she wants to do something different.

Sorry for not being there but i was, alas, asleep. Anyway... I have some problem with this story. To me it echoes to much of The Dark Half. Basically the same story but another twist. He writes well as usual but i never feel any real connection to Mort. And without that you kind of struggle. Not that i have to like him but i need some kind of connection. I thought the Langolliers was far superior.

So sorry I have been absent for the last few. Too many outside commitments intruding into my SKMB time. As Neesy and Kurben have said, you have done a great job being the hostess! I do hope we hear from VL soon. I am so worried about her and her family.

We can discuss SWSG tonight if anyone wants to, since we didn't have much of a discussion last week. I posted in the Discussion Group thread, but I did hear from VL and she will check in when she can. I'm hoping by taking tonight as a "catch up" night, everyone can get caught up before we go into the next story.

I'm curious as to how long it took y'all to figure out who Shooter was. Did SK give any clues? In the movie, I didn't guess who he was until it was revealed.
