Hi all! I thought I'd share a few vacation photos with those of you who may not have seen them on Facebook. I tried to pick just a few from each city so hopefully I don't bore you to tears.
I'll start with Prague. We managed to hit up a couple of absinthe bars, saw the astronomical clock, took a trip to Prague Castle (I even went into the cathedral and didn't burst into flames!), went to an Ice Pub, and took a beer bath.
After Prague, we traveled to Budapest where we took a tour of the castle district, visited the old Jewish Cemetery, visited one of the famed ruin pubs (war damaged buildings turned into bars), and (not pictured) visited Gellert Thermal pools and took a red wine bath.
Finally, we headed to New York City where I was quickly taken down by the plague which foiled all of my plans. We still went to see the Cher Show (amazing) and King Kong (not quite as great) but I spent most of the time in bed at our Airbnb.
Very nice! Since we are looking at your home movies, do you have any popcorn?Oh, I forgot to mention that I got to see the real Grand Budapest Hotel when we took a river cruise too! So cool. I wish we had time to go explore it but we didn't. Hopefully, I'll be back someday. It's a beautiful city. The architecture is unlike any other city because there are influences from all of the various occupations/colonizations. The influence from the Turkish occupation is what gives it its truly distinctive flair though, in my opinion.
