I know the Troma films are supposed to be self-satirizing grindhouse-silly flicks, but after the first 15 minutes of The Toxic Avenger, I was repulsed beyond words. I don't mind gore - well, that's not true; gratuitous splatter bores the snot outta me - but the over-the-top mean-spiritedness turned me off watching any of the other Troma films ever.
Matrix 3. I really kept hoping the Architect would run out of steam or someone would just shoot him in the head. I would've applauded gratuitous splatter in that case.
I'd heard some smack about The Human Centipede and took it upon myself to find it for free, just in case I'd ever be conscience-stricken about putting money in their pockets. It was the right call. I kept fast-forwarding and ended up spending about 20 minutes of viewing time from start to finish. I felt like a lesser human being for having observed that much.
I think I've talked about it elsewhere, and it probably doesn't qualify as a "horror" movie (but sure does as a horrible one), but I think every heterosexual post-pubescent male in America who watched the TV "Wonder Woman" imagined her with her top off. Well, along comes Bobbi Jo and the Outlaw, and they can see for themselves! Wow! But not even her uncovered charms could pretty up that pile of tepid excrement. I left about a third of the way through, not caring if they popped out again. (To be fair, I blame the movie itself. I'm enjoying her in the Supergirl show.)
I'm a retired Trekker, and the first Star Trek movie and ST V were flat terrible. I mean, embarrassingly bad. On the order of Kirk talking Landru into computer suicide, or the Riker flashback episode.
Speaking of Sean Connery stinkers (Zardoz, Meteor), wasn't he in The Core? That was RUFKM to the nth degree.
