Why is this the only King novel not available as an e-book?!

CHRISTINE remains my all-time personal favorite Stephen King novel. So, of course, in keeping with Murphy's law, it remains the sole novel of his to not be available in e-book form in the United States. Does anyone have any insights into why? It flabbergasts me that ANY Stephen King book wouldn't be available in electronic form in 2014, but especially one from his "golden years" (pun partially intended).

It's not because he has asked for it not to be done as an e-book but beyond that I don't know why it hasn't.

Well, at the risk of being overly pedantic about it, STORM OF THE CENTURY is a screenplay (which may always pose a formatting challenge for e-readers) and SECRET WINDOWS is a non-fiction book club exclusive. As far as King's novels are concerned, CHRISTINE appears to be the lone inexplicable holdout.

Not sure if I should mention this (if it's not appreciated, feel free to delete this post), but there are more ways to obtain an e-book... I do have Christine in electronic form. Even read it that way, without my e-reader attempting to kill me.

A fair point (and I took a similar road with RAGE and several of his early short stories), but since I've read the novel, the need isn't pressing. It's just an inexplicable omission from King's official ebook bibliography. I can wait. I'd prefer to reward King and the publisher with my hard-earned dollar for making it available when that day comes.

Oh it's not that I don't have the paper variety. In fact I'm no 21st century gadget freak, but I do like a nice full bookcase. I'm a bit old-fashioned I guess. But I can appreciate the convenience of reading without holding a big lump of paper all the time (and let's face it: Mr. King is quite capable of compiling big lumps of paper ).
