I watched John Waters This Filthy World documentary and he said that he was the only child in the theater sobbing because dorothy wanted to LEAVE Oz. He never understood why she would want to go back to that black and white boring farm with dreary people instead of staying in Oz where there were flying monkeys, magic shoes and gay cowardly lions! (paraphrasing) He tells it in such a funny way.

Was Cowardly Lion gay? (Not that there's anything wrong with that.)

I have never liked the movie, those darn flying monkeys scared the crap out of me as a child and gave me nightmares! Still won't watch the movie to this day!!

I was more afraid of the Witch instead of the monkeys. I liked the monkeys and that Fabulous Lion! Oh and Glenda The Good Witch! I so wanted a dream dress like the one she wore.

I like seeing you 'round here Blonde Bombshell . . .
