Our YouTube channel's popularity and revenue has grown to the point where I no longer need to work at my day job. This was not an easy decision, and not one we are taking lightly, but we feel we are doing the right thing by striking while the iron's hot. I've discussed with my HR partner and boss and I'll be staying through October to assure a smooth transition, but I probably won't stay much longer than mid-November.

Since the SKMB community has been such a large and important part of my life over the years, I wanted to let you guys know about this important step my family and I are taking. F. Scott Fitzgerald once said, "There are no second acts in American lives." As a 46-year old American, I am going to try to prove him wrong. We are very excited, a little nervous, but confident we've made the right decision. Please wish us luck as we embark on this new chapter of our life!

Well today is my last day at my job. I'll still be here on the board as always, so you're not gonna get rid of me that easily. But I did want to thank you all for helping me get through those tough days, stressful days, and heck, more than a few boring days. And, you've always been here to celebrate the happy occasions as well. You're a great bunch of folks--I'd say "I'll miss you" but I'm not leaving anything but my day job! Stay classy, SKMB!
