That's also my wish regarding a painting I'm working on. I started 3 months ago, never has a painting taken me so long. Maybe it's because I care so much about the subject ( it's a Stephen King portrait with 3 of his most famous characters in the background) so I keep procrastinating, and I know it's fear, same as you.
I think Nike got it right you know. Just do it. Try not to think about it.

Hey, that's a really cool thing to be working on. Do we get to see it when it's done?
Yeah, let's just do it. It always looks easier after it's done and then we look back at it and wonder why we felt like that. Been here before, I know all the possible pep-talks to get myself motivated and still....

I know what you're saying Kurben but the French government has issued this map showing in red the areas of potential terrorist danger following the kidnapping of the French man in Algeria. And it's a lot of red, enough to discourage a lot of people. On top of that, the first day it was issued, Morocco was also in red. It was changed 2 days later but it has had terrible consequences in people's mind regarding Morocco.

Still think people should be more afraid of, for example Egypt, than Morocco if we are to stay in Africa. The closest i've been to Morocco is a vacation in Tunisia many years ago. Visited Carthage among other things. Hope it eases up.

Thanks for your interest :) , I will post it when it's done I think ( whenever that is). It is tough because I was so pleased with what I had done of Pennywise that I put a hell of a lot of pressure on myself after that. I had only just decided to add all the blood on Carrie, I had my mojo back and then the Rolling Stone interview came out and I don't know if you saw it but it's illustrated by a beautiful painting. And I'm gutted because the picture used for the painting in the interview is a picture that was taken of SK on the day of his signing in Paris and that's the case for the picture I chose for my painting. And on top of that Pennywise is in the background just like in my painting which means I feel my painting is a bit redundant now. Especially as the Rolling Stone painting is so good. But hey, c'est la vie and you're right, let's just do it. And I'd certainly would be interested in reading your story when it's done :)

My utterly selfish answer is to meet Stephen King. I just want one freakin' picture to say, hey! I finally did it! Not only for his writing but for all the things he and his wife have done for Maine.
I'm pretty happy in my life. I hope I keep this job until I retire and that I live long enough to retire and be able to enjoy it. Happiness for my friends and family.
Oh and a whoopie pie and Pumpkinhead beer would be nice too.
Selfish! ;-D

Nothing selfish about that Misery, if you asked me 2 years ago, that's what I would have answered, and the year before that, etc... As far as I can remember (well almost) meeting SK was my biggest wish. I was incredibly lucky to meet him last year and I tell you there is a "before meeting SK" and an " after meeting SK ", my brother tells me he loves it when I tell him about my trip to Paris to meet Stephen King, he says I look so happy when I talk about it. Because I kept going on about it after it happened, and I still do! ( lol) Whatever makes you happy Misery, I truly wish for you to experience it too :)
