I don't understand how it's a loss of money when they ARE playing the gigs. They will get that money.

Well, I don't like it either, but I think there is a mindset about these things. Life goes on. As Michael Corleone said, "It's not personal, it's business."

And, playing Devil's Advocate here: That's why we pay for insurance. When things go wrong, we are covered. Yes, he is rich and she left him millions, but when he is paying insurance, and something happens, I would put in a claim too. It doesn't mean he didn't love her. He has a whole crew of people to pay that were setting up for those shows or waiting to. There are more people involved than just him. It wasn't about him, it was about The Machine of The Rolling Stones.

Scott was a business woman. If something happened with her fashion empire, and she was paying insurance, she would've put in a claim too. Again, separate out the business from the personal.

Exactly Dana Jean. I haven't read the link but read about this when it was breaking news, and it makes sense to me. There were quite a few people named in the Stones Group insurance whereby if anything happened to any of those people named, then the group were insured for any loss of earnings that may have occurred. And they did lose earnings, as they had to cancel quite a few of the Australian shows. Ticket sales would need to be reimbursed, and people working for the band still need to be paid. What I find more despicable is that the insurers are trying not to pay out because they don't class the suicide as an "unforeseen event". Also, it was apparently well documented that Jagger spent millions financially bailing out L'Wren Scott on numerous occasions, so the settlement she left him in her Will was definitely more than justified, although I'd bet he probably would never have expected it.
