Still?! That's a little like asking if I stopped beating my wife. I'm trying to get a mental picture of how you'd twerk with one leg up on a knee scooter--sure would add to the difficulty factor.
So glad you were proactive for yourself and made them give you an earlier date for the surgery. Like others have said, they have you get there 2 hours early so they can check you in, get the IV started, the anesthesiologist will come and ask questions to decide what to do about the anesthesia, and then there's the inevitable waiting until it's finally time. If you have any problems with nausea from anesthesia make very sure they give you a Rx for nausea for home. The last thing you'd need after hernia surgery is to be home vomiting or with dry heaves. Best to have that on hand just in case. I don't have the name handy but there is one my primary doc told me about that dissolves rather than having to swallow it in pill form. I'm sure I don't have to spell out why that would be a good thing.
And Mama Mod is telling you to make sure you've got someone to stay with you at least the day you come home!!! Will be sending you lots of good vibes that it will be an easy surgery and quick recovery.
