So, my grandfather was laid off today from the job he's held for years.... I don't even know how long. Since the '70s, I believe. He was two years from retirement and was not given a reason. This is a man who treats everyone great-- he's one of the nicest, smartest people you could ever meet. And no, that's not bias. He went to work every. single. day. He did the best job he could, always. I suspect they didn't want to pay retirement and that really sucks. Luckily their cars and house are paid for (they are uber responsible with money) but still. I'm really upset for him and my grandmother right now. Please keep them in your prayers please.

Prayers being said. Many companies do this exact thing in order to avoid retirement benefits. So sad.

They are in mine! If your grandfather was laid off, he should be eligible for Unemployment, correct?

Please prayers for my mother, she is very ill. She just had the fourth surgery in several years and is 70 years old soon this month. My heart has too many feelings in it today.
