Hola!

I just watched the pilot of American Crime.

American Crime is an American anthology crime drama television series that premiered on ABC on March 5, 2015, airing Thursdays at 10:00 pm (ET). The series was created by John Ridley, and stars Felicity Huffman and Timothy Hutton. The first season consists of eleven episodes. The series centers on race, class, and gender politics as it follows a racially charged murder and the subsequent trial.

I liked it very much although it was a little difficult to watch.

I think if it can find an audience that's willing to stomach the drama based on reality it will do well.

(BTW-Felicity Huffman character ... interesting if a tad distasteful. JMO)

Have a great weekend!

Gossip. I read this on D-listed, say sorry that site has too many vulgar words to link it.

I am still looking forward to the next show

...as far as I'm concerned....Crime shows should be as graphic and nastily true as possible...REALLY rub people's noses in it, then maybe there won't be as many bleeding hearts out their, eager to hug, excuse and forgive the bad guys...then again, maybe monkey's will fly outta my butt....

Hi!

I've only watched the first episode but some of the stuff was gritty, uncomfortable but...true.

I'd pay money to see monkey's fly outta any ones butt. Ha!

Have a good one.

Wow!

This show is getting all kinds of ugly.

Just finished watching epi.2.

The racist mom who refuses to work with detectives or the ADA who are people of color. She thinks its a reverse discrimination conspiracy.

The *religious* father who suddenly believes and feels less for his comatose daughter because she had sex with a man/men other than her husband? (Dude! Your daughter was raped and beaten within an inch from her life, she is in a coma and may not live and your deal is "She had consensual sex with other men that were not her husband!!)

Mexican-American father who demands his children act and behave like they are white?

And, yes. It is legal for police to lie to a suspect to get information. (Shut up, and ask for an attorney.)

This show is going to be a he11 of a ride!

(Or, I just jinxed and it will be crap.)

I watched it. Some things are starting to bug me. But I will continue watching

Getting a little tired of the meth-head's "endless love." Why did she get such a nice hotel room? Why do coma girl's parents care so much where the son is buried... Still like Tony's father, but they are playing him clueless. Love T Hutton, but why is he always so sweaty

This show is going to be very politically charged. It already is. I think tonights ep will introduce a Muslim character and from the previews it has the whole hands up thing happening. It is an interesting story and depending on which way you see things it could either go in your favor or against it. I haven't found a character I can even really like yet. Not Nadine, Hutton is sweating all of the time because shacking up with someone 30 years younger than you expends lots of energy!

I somehow missed ever seeing this board :( I've been watching American Crime every week. I think its a phenomenal show - its my favorite show of the season. I just watched the last episode and I'm sad its over but I'm glad it didn't drag on y'know? The ending was perfect.

There is one problem with American Crime... I can't watch other crime shows now - they seem unreal and silly and lack substance. The only crime show I still watch once in a while is Criminal Minds.

I liked this one too and agree that the ending was perfect. It did get renewed for another season so I'm wondering if it will be a whole new crime? Maybe they'll do each season like American Horror Story with a new plot. Definitely stayed with current events.

LOVED it. Stephen King also watches and enjoys it. (Though he did say it was depressing.)

Hey no bounce no play ! You doing okay? Hugs!
