Okay, gonna do something a bit different-- going to list a song I HATE by a few of my favorite artists. These are artists that have come up in this thread (he said sadly) and I love 'em, obviously, but I'll admit they've all written a stinker or two.

Beatles/Paul McCartney:
The Long and Winding Road. Christ in a sidecar I hate this awful song.

Beatles/John Lennon:
Across the Universe. Bores me to tears.

U2:
Sunday Bloody Sunday. Elvis Presley and America. Bullet the Blue Sky. Vertigo.

Paul McCartney (solo):
Maybe I'm Amazed. I dunno. Not bad, but it's just not my groove. Paul has said this is the song he'd like to be remembered for and I don't get it.

Michael Jackson:
Bad. (It's really, really bad.)

Elvis Presley:
Moody Blue

In 1988 Jethro Tull won the best heavy metal album Grammy over Metallica.

I'm not a huge Metallica fan but they are most definitely a heavy metal band and Jethro Tull is definitely not a metal band.
...that was one of the largest travesties ever visited upon a band and shows what a joke the Grammy "geniuses" truly are....

Yeah, well, everyone knows looks has a lot to do with musical talent.

True, and it's not like he's unattractive (well he is to me!) - it's a "taste" thing - and I just don't like his music and that's the main thing...

I will say I do like one song by him ... "Don't Come Around Here No More" -- like the video as well :)

I was just having some fun... but you know that (I hope!).
I have to say that the Tommy Petty & The Heartbreakers song/video "American Girl" was one of those watershed moments in my teens. I was at a rock 'n' roll flea market in NYC and they were playing videos in one room. This was in the very early days of music videos so they were still very new & exciting. I walked into the room and the song "American Girl" was playing. It knocked my socks off. It was so fresh sounding. Ever since then I have a soft spot for Tom Petty.
Side note: At the same moment I was having a music revelation some girl walked in and yelled out, "This guy has a horse face!" So you are not alone in your thinking! lol
