:nrvs:Hello again everyone. I'm like herpes, go, come back, go come back. Hoping to be back for good. Had to get my head together for a while. Grief does funny things to your head. But I guess my head has always been funny. I have missed you all. I am staying around. Much love (((The Board)))

Welcome back! Good to see you! :biglove:

TDo you take a low dose Aspirin every day?

Every day till they tell me not to, which I doubt happens.

To the general public: I had what's called a thrombotic occlusion, or a clot that formed and blocked an artery - in this case, my right coronary artery - that started the heart attack. As I understand, aspirin makes the platelets slicker, lowering the probability of a clot forming again.

Guy goes to a drug store and says to the person behind the counter, "Can you sell me some acetylsalicylic acid?
The counter person looks confused a moment and says, "Do you mean aspirin."
The guy shakes his head. "Yeah, that's it! I never can remember that word!"

((Kurben)) your brain probably just needed a rest. We try to fit in some "mindless" TV watching each week. Consider yourself forgiven!

((Grandpa)) Hope your walk in the woods is just what you need!

((Neesy)) Have fun at the wine fest! Can't wait to read your posts after you get back all giddy!;;D

((Nottie)) Good luck with the packing!

We are going to meet some friends out and watch the Derby later. I love all the goings-on. One day I would like to be there in person.

(((All in need or not)))

Take me!!!!
Darn it! I wish I could. I asked my son, as his fiancee was supposed to babysit today. He told me does not like wine :sulkiness:

So now I do not know if I will even put in an appearance there or not. Tickets are 55 dollars each, too!

I think it is on until 10 p.m. perhaps so maybe I will go check it out later, after supper :indecisiveness:

Packing Woes Chapter 2

Took all pictures of all the walls and lined them up against kitchen wall for packing/loading
.
Gathered many things and put in the for dishwasher for later packing. Ran dishwasher. Sat down to brood about this whole thing.

Heard a very scary gurgling noise coming from the kitchen, followed by a nice water fall sound effect.

We have a gusher! Sink filled up and over - dishwasher spewing water from every available orifice . Counter top is a river carrying my cookbooks along the tide. Floor became a pond that my pictures were wading in.

Okey dokey.

Holy jeesh, cats...just found out a co-worker/friend of mine just shot himself dead, suicide. Guy named Bennett--heluva orthopedic finisher, drinker, and devil-may-care rascal of a guy. Just forty five, I believe he was. Broke his ankle in a drunken mishap (cat was a chronic alcoholic), had missed a couple a weeks because of said injury, but was supposed to be back.

Damn damn damn...he'll be missed, in more ways than one. Can't even process this info yet, I'm completely stunned. What the frak?

(P.S I'm not sure if you saw my message in the What Are You Reading thread, but... let me know when you're getting close to page 400 of Boy's Life and I'll start reading it with you.)

Thanx, folks. I'm doin okay, just stunned. In shock, I guess. Always seemed such a happy-go-lucky fella--drunk every, and I mean every day, though. Cat would drink three beers and a shot of Smirnoff just on the ride to work. Ugh, I could never do that, and I'm no teetotaler, believe you me.

Helluva nice guy, though--real calm, cool, soft spoken and relaxed. A pleasure to work with, compared to all the other douche bags. Here's to ol Bennett, then, and yez all have a round on Muskie. Barmaid, play some Buffett for Bennett, and make em hurt.
