The Beatles are/were from there.

2. What about your significant other gets on your nerves? (If not in a relationship, imagine.)
All of my imaginary girlfriends imperfections are what make her perfect :)

3. What TV show do you watch that you’d be embarrassed to tell your friends?
The Biggest Loser (reality weight loss shows aren't as big over here as they are in the US)

Wouldn't give a rats ass

We don't go all out for hallowe'en over here, we certainly didn't when I was a kid, I've never cared for it so nothing sticks out

One substitute teacher would occasionally take our class and sometimes would move it to "the simpsons suite" - a class room with a tv and vcr set up with tapes of back to back episodes of The Simpsons

Eat chocolate

8. What’s the fastest you’ve ever driven and for what reason?

Not since school (15+ years ago)

10. Tell about a place or event you were forced to go to by someone else (parents, significant other, friends, etc.).

I can't think of any really. Church maybe? Not many kids actually want to go to church

2. What about your significant other gets on your nerves? (If not in a relationship, imagine.) He talks & complains too much

I may need to change this. I HATE when I will tell him something, give him advice on something or a suggestion and he blows it off then a day or 2 later, will come to me and say: "You know, Charlie gave me some great advice" or "Charlie had a great idea about this" ... and it's like, yes, I know I told you that 2 days ago!!!

1. Why do you think people would like to the visit the area where you live?
We have mountains close, good fishing, good hunting, good camping.

2. What about your significant other gets on your nerves? (If not in a relationship, imagine.)
His ability to turn into a magician in the dead of night. Think of a tablecloth on a set table, and then whipping the cloth off without disturbing the dishes...he does this to me with my pillows. Just whips them right out from under my head, lickety split. All while sleeping. :icon_evil: I have gotten to where if he grabs hold of my pillows, it wakes me up before he yanks on them, and I pull on the other side and keep my pillows where they belong.

3. What TV show do you watch that you’d be embarrassed to tell your friends?
I can't think that I should be embarrassed by any of my tv choices. The sheer amount of tv that I watch, more likely. ;-D

4. How do you think you’d react if your son or daughter told you he/she was gay? (If no children, imagine.)
My reaction would only be about their happiness. That is all I really want for any of them.

5. What was your favorite or most memorable Halloween costume as a kid?
Well, I can remember a Wonder Woman costume and a witch costume. I dyed my hair green with the witch costume. I think that was my last Halloween as a trick or treater.

6. Think of your favorite teacher. Why was he/she so special?
I had a few favorites. My high school English teacher, because she wrote me the best recommendation letters for my college applications. She was always so supportive. A couple college teachers stand out because they took the time to be encouraging to me, on a personal level. One of them followed me out of the classroom after my last final with him to tell me he thought I would always do well in my future education endeavors. I sometimes wonder if he would be disappointed in me for not finishing.

7. What do you wish you could do in excess (without any ill consequences)?
This one is hard! I don't really know. Eat whatever I wanted maybe.

8. What’s the fastest you’ve ever driven and for what reason?
I'm not a speed demon. Probably 70 in a 55, on an extremely rural highway. I had just dropped my son off at my grandparent's house and was heading to work. I was late. And of course, I got caught...a policeman was on the highway, and before he even got turned around, I was already pulled over and waiting for him. I knew I was busted. He was very nice and gave me a warning. The interstate speeds are 80 around here now, so that is really the fastest I've driven.

9. Do you ever use a real dictionary (nothing electronic)?
I still have two, I do make my kids use them, but it has been a long time since I have used one myself.

10. Tell about a place or event you were forced to go to by someone else (parents, significant other, friends, etc.).
Another tough one! I can't think of anywhere I was absolutely forced to go. Growing up, my parents had some good friends who we would take turns going to dinner at each other's houses, every few weeks. I do remember not really enjoying the visits so much as I got up around 11-13. The man friend had always teased me about being the one who would take me out for my first date when I was old enough. Not in a creepy way, not at all. Just in a teasing way. But it embarrassed me when I got up to that age and I just didn't think it was all that funny or appealing an idea in my young teen wisdom. I kind of feel bad about that now, too. I should have just played along.

10. Tell about a place or event you were forced to go to by someone else (parents, significant other, friends, etc.) My parents took me to Silver Dollar City one summer and made me do one of those idiotically tacky western old-time family photographs. The expression on my face is priceless in the picture. My mom describes the expression as halfway between murder and insanity. I pissed and moaned about the photo for years because she hung it up right in the living room, so all my friends, girlfriends, could see it. In the picture I'm wearing a coon skin cap, if that tells you anything about the type of picture.
;-D;-D I love these kinds of pictures!! My husband and I did one, I'm a saloon girl and he is an outlaw. When I showed it to my Grandma, she gasped and said, "Is that a whiskey bottle you're holding?!?" Nothing about me being dressed like an old west hooker... I said, "Yes, Grandma. But it was empty." :p

My family did a couple of those when I was a teen, but my favorite is the one of my mom & her siblings. All 6 women are saloon girls and the 2 brothers (who are the youngest) are cowboys in a bathtub. Out of all the pictures mom has, that's the one that always makes me smile (especially love the huge grins on the faces of my 2 most prudish aunts :D)

That plus-150 on the track was the fastest I've driven. But I did hit an indicated 120 on a highway stretch between Rawlins and Lander, just because there was no one around for miles, and I wanted to see what the Little Red Beast would do. And it seductively said it could go faster yet, but I was feeling unsafe - not to mention that I knew I would go to jail if clocked at that speed - and throttled it back.

1. Why do you think people would like to the visit the area where you live?

Two words: Chico's Tacos

2. What about your significant other gets on your nerves? (If not in a relationship, imagine.)

My significant other from high school was constantly trying to change me, I didn't like that.

"Kid's" shows like Sponge Bob, I Carly and Fairly Odd Parents.

I would say "If you're happy, then I am happy and happy for you."

5. What was your favorite or most memorable Halloween costume as a kid?

My official Michael Myers mask. Although I was a bit older when I had it.

6. Think of your favorite teacher. Why was he/she so special?

He took the time to explain things until you understood them, no matter how long it took. (Math teacher)

Eat and sleep.

8. What’s the fastest you’ve ever driven and for what reason?

I think around 70 MPH because I was mad/inebriated.

Rarely anymore, I just google the word.

10. Tell about a place or event you were forced to go to by someone else (parents, significant other, friends, etc.).

Back in the day I wouldn't want to go to my sisters house for Thanksgiving, but my father would refuse to go if I didn't, so I had to go.

1. Why do you think people would like to the visit the area where you live? mtns, rivers

2. What about your significant other gets on your nerves? (If not in a relationship, imagine.) --

3. What TV show do you watch that you’d be embarrassed to tell your friends? I'm not embarrassed, but all the Housewives except New York. I started out with just the Jersey ones and my fascination has grown. Also, I love little people shows.

4. How do you think you’d react if your son or daughter told you he/she was gay? (If no children, imagine.) Not with shame. Not with embarrassment. 100% FEAR. As a mother, my job was/is to protect my children. How in the hell do you protect them from the world of hate that will come raining down on them because they are gay? So much hate out there.

5. What was your favorite or most memorable Halloween costume as a kid? My grandmother was a seamstress. She made me a southern bell dress -- bonnet and matching bag, with bustle. It was fantastic.

6. Think of your favorite teacher. Why was he/she so special? I've had many special teachers. The good ones always challenged me. Nurtured my inquisitive nature which is just a part of who I am to this day.

7. What do you wish you could do in excess (without any ill consequences)? eat

8. What’s the fastest you’ve ever driven and for what reason? maybe 90. Just because the car was so smooth, I didn't realize I was going that fast.

9. Do you ever use a real dictionary (nothing electronic)?yes, often.

10. Tell about a place or event you were forced to go to by someone else (parents, significant other, friends, etc.).I can't remember any event or place I've been forced to go. I have always had freewill. I tend to put more pressure on myself to go to something I might not want to go to, but know that I need to go to. Thinking funerals.
