Well, some types are referred to as a musical instrumentm, a trumpet. Are there different types of weather patterns to lose? (gail force, light breeze.. etc.)
...that particular affliction shouldn't hamper opening packaging, that's a peripheral blood flow issue-but co-existing arthritis sure would...and as far as Rty?...it's nice to see him get into something semi-whacky rather than his usual fare...he shouldn't be offended, he has seen enough of this group...My Nana has Raynaud's disease so I am always thinking in terms of 'how can an elderly person possibly open this?!' when I see packaging like that.
I spend a lot of my time at her place opening things for her... it's tough for her and people like this.
...if you fart errr start cleaning house like that, one of these days the air biscuit's gonna have substance and dustbunnies will be the least of yer concerns Ms. Vera Donovan...I think I just found a new way to do my dusting . . .walking around tryin' to blow off the dust is starting to make me way too dizzy.
Nana is 95, so her hands/grip is pretty weak. (though she has had the Raynaud's for years and had very little feeling in her fingers because of it.)...that particular affliction shouldn't hamper opening packaging, that's a peripheral blood flow issue-but co-existing arthritis sure would...and as far as Rty?...it's nice to see him get into something semi-whacky rather than his usual fare...he shouldn't be offended, he has seen enough of this group...
...indeed, that makes the issue clearer to me now....and even at 53 I hate the damn things...why should I have to have a sharp blade with me just to get into packaging?...anit-shoplifting device you say?....so they just steal the whole damn thing!...duh....Nana is 95, so her hands/grip is pretty weak. I've noticed that since I've been working regularly on the MB my wrists and hand grip have become weaker. My other job is cleaning and when I have had a particularly busy day there is quite a bit of pain....indeed, that makes the issue clearer to me now....and even at 53 I hate the damn things...why should I have to have a sharp blade with me just to get into packaging?...anit-shoplifting device you say?....so they just steal the whole damn thing!...duh....
I don't think so...Has your nana ever tried the warm wax submersion for her hands? It seemed to help my mom's hands/finger with her circulation.
...what about Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, that could be part of it-repetitive motion pain....plus, this type of discomfort is hereditary so some early intervention would be wise...I've noticed that since I've been working regularly on the MB my wrists and hand grip have become weaker. I'm having to get my boys to open (new) jars sometimes now... (and I'm not quite mid 40's.)

...that's a great treatment for arthritic conditions...but I would be concerned about re-warming like that after a bout, due to the sudden increased blood flow which can be painful and even more pronounced in a nonagenarian...I don't think so...
I have one of these and it did help my hands. The wax is warm, not hot. Immerse hand, take it out and it is coated with the warm wax. You can then wrap the hand in towel or place in cloth glove for a period of time. The wax just peels off and can be re used. I did see a difference.
I would cut it in half (with the plastic on it) and then make a cut in the plastic at one of the exposed ends and then slowly peel away the plastic.
. . .Am I getting punked?
Somehow I feel as if I'm making a fool of myself . . .
That and bee stings on the afflicted joints, well, unless of course.one is allergic, that and/or maybe in one's 90's.Has your nana ever tried the warm wax submersion for her hands? It seemed to help my mom's hands/finger with her circulation.
Mz.
