Hey . . .enjoy the summer, I know many of you love the heat . . .I for one can't damn stand it. Summers in the South is like baking in Annie Wilkes' oven . . .

Madam, I just want to say, you're an amazing woman. You're one of my longest friends from this board, and you are truly an inspiration to those who struggle. How you keep such a sweet attitude, and always have something kind or wise to say, I very much appreciate those things about you. Thank you for always bringing joy to this place.
I wish there was a warning in the beginning of books and movies to give me a heads up that there is something disturbing about animals in the content. I just shut off a movie (only a minute or so into it) because there was a three-legged dog wearing an eye patch. Nope. Sorry. Can't do it.

Oh, i can relate, Morgan. I always asks friends, when I am about to read a book with critters, if they will be ok.
Have you ever read any of the Chet and Bernie series by Spencer Quinn. SK got me hooked. It is done in Chet's voice. I think you would enjoy them. ( there are 3 short ebooks at 99 cents that are add ons )

morgan- yes, the series is regular HC and paperback books, only the three short add ons are in ebook form- They just give a little insight to Chet past- why he fails K-9 training/ we learn that in later books anyway/ and a short story about his neighbors dog, Iggy.

Before I caved and got a Kindle, I had to have it on my computer because some books I was offered for review were in e-book format.There are people I just can't talk to without wanting to tear my hair out. My BS meter is much more touchy than when I was younger, I think.
Cafe Press no longer has Constant Reader bumper stickers???!!!!!! WTH!!!!! Mr. F. F. Titanium needed a new bumper sticker since my old Constant Reader went bye bye with the other car! (Yes, I tried to peel it off, but it had been there too long.)

Baby girl . . .you are my first daughter of this Board. I have loved you for years and often I've wanted to say things that I thought I should say to you. But, I would just watch because I always knew I didn't need to say anything. You are strong and life has given you wisdom . . .you will always find your way in the darkest of times. You are extremely beautiful but that does not set your path. I know what that's like.
