I am going to a class reunion in a couple of weeks. High school was not a great time for me. However, my good friend has convinced me that I should go. Just wondering if someone has a great class reunion story to share.

I haven't been to a class reunion but last year I went to a reunion gig the band I used to be involved in played and there were tons of folks from high school there. There were probably more people than would've attended a high school reunion, and definitely more of the folks I used to hang out with. Despite my being sensitive about my appearance, especially compared to the good old days, it was a lot of fun. But, I think I won't go to a class reunion because the folks who show up there I never really knew that well.I wish I could have gone to a junior high reunion, that would have been a blast! My one year of high school is best forgotten.
That does sound strange. It's kind of a mixed bag. There's a lot of fun to be had but it's kind of funny the way things work out. It seems the people I wanted to see the most (my best friends from that time) were the ones I had the least in common with. The people I didn't know all that well in HS seemed to be the ones I connected with best at the reunions.

Was it you who once commented that kindergarten was the best five years of your life?My kindergarten reunion was a fine affair. We made Play-Doh molds.

Go and be your wonderful self! I've found that the people I wanted to keep in touch with, I do, and the ones I didn't - I don't miss at all. People were shocked that I married young, had children and mini-van, lived in the suburbs, etc. Nothing about High School Holly matches up with Grown Up Holly. I sowed my wild oats when I was quite young. I was surprised how handsome the uber-nerd grew up to be. I was never a mean girl and I wasn't part of a clique, so there was no drama for me - but there was some sizing up and competitive BS going on with others. By the time the next reunion rolls around, I expect we'll all be over that kind of thing. I graduated high school in 1987.I am going to a class reunion in a couple of weeks. Maybe by 30 they will be--lol. I know at my 10th, we were seated for the big dinner with a group of girls who didn't speak to me in HS and still didn't at the dinner. It was dumb. The food was good, though--lol.I was not going to reveal the number... but here goes-It will be the 30th class reunion. I did go to my 25th and it was interesting. The guy who was kinda of shy- Grew up to be uber good looking man. Sadly, our class president died a couple years ago. I saw a lot of classmates at his viewing. I just hope that for heavens sake the cliques will be gone. Thanks everyone for telling their class reunion stories.
