I am angry today because the damn cat started meowing way before sunrise. So, of course I had to get out of bed and let the stupid thing out. Naturally, my boy (who was awake but quiet) heard me going up and down the stairs and thought it was time to get up. I wouldn't mind so much, but he has off from school today and I could've rested in bed until 8:00. Now it's raining and the cat wants to come back in. Tough $h!t.

Sorry 80's, but this made me laugh. Especially the last two words. :biggrin-new:

It is funny that I curse out a cat that has no idea what I'm saying. She just gives me a look like "open the door lady". Thing doesn't even know its name yet I stand there telling it it can't come back in until (my daughter) wakes up. And then I go on a rant about how lazy my daughter is and I'm all worked up over something the cat forgot about 3 seconds after it happened :a11:

You're gonna love this then: the husband is working from home today. He just saw the cat at the door and went over to let it in. I said in a quiet but dead serious voice "Don't. You. Dare." and he just U-turned away from the door. He doesn't want to get involved in the ongoing cat drama (we've had the cat about 10 years and I've hated it for the past 7 lol).

Once again someone lost control and took out my mailbox last night, and dug up the wet lawn with their tires. It has been well over 10 times since I moved in and not once has anyone ever stopped to say what they did. Well, I know what I’ll be doing over the weekend. Do they make exploding mailboxes?

It was my cat! I saw her do it!

Seeiously, though, that is horrible. Who does that and then doesn't even apologize?!?

Maybe the cat needs a pal. I have three we rescued that I'd be glad to see have a new home. One, two, or all of them... You decide. Just let me know how much I have to pay you to take them off my hands. :)

No amount of money could make it worth it for bringing another cat(s) in here. But if you give me a signed SK book, I could find a way to put up with more meowing.

LOL. I was wondering if danie was in the area. :)

Everybody so far. It usually happens in the winter as I live down the road from Blue Mountain Ski Resort. The skiers are a menace on the roads after getting all liquored up at the ski lounge.

Yeah, the tourists are the worst. They drive around drunk (or at least tipsy) on roads that are tricky in bad weather even for those of us that are used to driving them.

Be careful what you wish for! I got my wife (a bigger SK fan than me) a signed copy of TGWLTG from the Haven Foundation. She didn't really care about it because all she really ever wants is a signed copy of any novel personalized to her from the King. It now sits in some closet gathering dust. If I put the cats and the book on a balancing scale, I'm confident it would lean towards GOODBYE KITTY! :)

My parents had a similar problem with their mailbox. A few years ago, my dad built them a concrete and river stone foundation for their mailbox. It's done very well since then. And if they do hit it, it will do more damage to the vehicle!:cool2:

We had someone wipe out our mailbox. They came to the door and I did not recognize them.So needless to say did not answer. It was at a time we had a shooting in our neighborhood. Yup needless to say I put the damn thing up myself.

Believe me, I thought about it. I called the police about the third time it happened and a lot of damage was caused to the yard. The police advised me not to do anything like that that because I would probably be sued for creating a structure too close to the road purposely aimed at causing damage to vehicles. They told me "With living on this road, it's just part of what you have to accept." They say they don't even investigate these things because it happens several times a week on my road.
