Good luck with that Maskins
We had a couple of them come in (maybe 10 years ago?) - they did a great job! (and this is in Winnipeg, Manitoba). They were not like Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins. In fact, they condemned my fire and wanted to charge me loads of money to fix it. They also condemneded my neighbours chimney and tried to demand money from them. So, currently searching for a slightly more trustworthy chimney sweep. Where are the small children when you need them?

By the way - don't do what my thrifty father did many many years ago:
thinking to save himself 100 bucks he used a heavy chain - went up on the roof and then banged that thing inside the chimney to loosen the soot! - he broke the terra cotta liner and could not use the fireplace anymore!
On the Isle of Arran Andy was still burning coal fires when I visited in 2005 - yikes! (We almost invited the coal "dude" [the guy who delivers the coal to the house?] to the wedding - it is supposed to be good luck).

I wondered why there was all that noise.Stuck in condemned chimneys.
You mean the screaming of children? Yes, I've wondered that myself.I wondered why there was all that noise.
It has been kinda a hellacious morning, but some happy happy...both Scott and Evan got their deer this morning. Going for antelope this evening.
Fresh meat for the freezer. Yay!
Rifle season opened today for both deer and antelope. Bow season has been open a while, Scott would love to bow hunt but has shoulder issues, so hasn't for years. But, they are tagged out opening morning! Yippee!Very cool. What season is it, CAT? Bow? Muzzleloader?
Oh............. and when is dinner served?

Dinner is usually around 6. Don't have to go to the store today now!
I think it runs through most of November. It depends on the area the license is for, some areas do not open up for rifles until Nov 1, the ones that are open now will close sooner, too.
The antelope are generally smaller than deer, body wise, but not by a whole, whole lot. Still get quite a bit of meat off of one.
You're not a dope!
My son and I baked cookies from scratch on his day off yesterday. We packed some in a cute autumn decorative tin and gave them to his awesome van driver "just because".
She was so thrilled by our little gesture that her reaction brought me happiness
Any left?

Elk and moose are good, I like moose better. Deer is gross. Never had antelope. but I'd try it!YAY deer! Meh antelope--lol. How do you cook it? My family are big hunters (naturally), but the only way I like antelope is in a stew. It seems more 'gamey' than deer, elk, or moose. Elk is my favorite. Now I'm hungry...
There's half a cookie left. Out of 4 dozen!
