Sigh.... Sitting here the night before my interview and are a little nervous. Tried to sleep but only managed a few hours. Got up to try and calm down. You have done this before. ... No big deal.... but you cant fool a restless brain, if it wants to be nervous it will be... Thought i stay up for a little while talking to you and then try again. Keep some fingers crossed on monday, will you???
(((((KURBEN))))) Positive vibes all the way......love & daisies, too ♥

It's a good thing you pushed for that ultrasound even though it is causing some havoc with Brandon's other commitments. Better to find out early when you can plan around it than have to have an emergency surgery that would be completely disruptive.
Yes, that is exactly what I told him! I am not confident in having it done here, after the mess they made of me. But mine was emergency surgery, had my ultrasound and didn't even make it the 2 miles home before the doctor called and told me to turn around and get admitted. So hopefully catching it early will make it a much easier surgery. Did some cursory research and both surgeons seem to be well regarded. But we will definitely look into them more.

I did ask Brandon if he told the ER doc I told you so. ;) He didn't actually speak to him though, just left a voice mail.

He wants to put it off some, but he can't put it off too long!

Thanks for the advice. I followed it. It went really well. Positive responses all atound. Have good hope it will actually result in something. They really liked my background. They even showed me the place where i would work of it turns out well. And i treated myself to buy some books (and some cheese) afterwards.
What kind of cheese?

One of the reasons I was immediately admitted into the hospital when I was having my gall bladder issues was because a gall stone was stuck in my bile duct and it could have led to sepsis. It didn't require immediate surgery but they would not release me because it could have been potentially life-threatening; maybe if Brandon knows (if he doesn't already) that things could quickly turn worse will be an incentive for him not to put things off.

That was part of why mine was so bad, too. The surgeon either poked my gall bladder or it burst, so had all that gunky floating around, and he couldn't get the stone out of my bile duct. But he did release me, with orders to see a specialist in another town, which didn't happen for several days, then that doctor couldn't get it either, plus gave me pancreatitis trying to get it, that's when they flew me to Denver.

It was all very traumatic to me. I had never been in the hospital for anything other than having babies. Waking up and having your whole family hovering, Scott had called my parents in, no one flat out said it but I just knew I wasn't going home. Very scary.

So I won't let him put it off too long. ;)

I ended up with pancreatitis when they tried to remove the gall stone, too! And to make matters worse, they said the stone had moved on its own (had been admitted on Friday night and they didn't do the procedure until Monday morning) so they didn't even really need to do it but it meant I had to spend another day or two in the hospital before they could do the gall bladder removal. Thank goodness I have a really good medical plan.

You've got lots of personal experience to pass on to Brandon as to how serious it can be but he's probably like a lot of kids his age--feeling like it won't happen to him. :smile2:

Yes, he feels like he has to push through right now. But I will stay on him. Definitely do NOT want him to go through anything close to what I did!

Plus my uterus would probably fall out and leave a snail trail behind me. And then the guy running behind me drafting would slip on it and break his uvula or something.
Gosh, I know. Just yesterday, when I was drafting behind a moustachioed lady, her ovaries fell to the ground, and I had to criss-cross run to avoid them and a heinous injury.
