Many thanks to all for the kind words, healing thoughts and prayers for my family and I over the past several weeks. My dad has lost his battle with cancer, but is free from pain. We will celebrate his life tomorrow evening. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for being here when I needed you. (((SKMB)))

So very sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. In time, may your sorrow be replaced with all the wonderful memories
you have. God bless you.

Back home on the weekend but it took a few days to get my bearings. Still have 2 drains and 2 IV's but the
V.O.N. comes each morning. No Home Care allowed for me, I am too young they said. Not sure how it can
be decided by age, I would think it would be based on need. But, who knows when it comes to Health Care.
So many cut backs. I can manage and I will be fine. Thank you (again) for all your kind words and prayers
they mean so much to me and your prayers were the boost needed. You are a wonderful group of friends,
God Bless all of you.

Let me know when you are ready to join me for some potato salad, these mean girls around here have made life miserable for me and my stomach.

So good to see you!!

Hey everyone, I feel reluctant to post here with so many others with significant needs. My troubles seem pale in comparison.
Number one, I am a Christian but have fallen away from regular attendance. My heart was very connected to playing piano for morning worship and that has been hard to lose. I feel like such a hypocrite. Idk, just reflecting. This place has been very welcoming and I appreciate all of you for the happiness and support you've given whether you realize it or not.
Some of you may know I lost my library job of ten years a year ago. This has been a very big loss, too. To top it off, I'm afraid a loved one may be in the first stages of Alzheimer's disease. I know, big whammies.
Thank you for any prayers you can spare. God bless you.
Hope you are doing well - sorry I just saw this now. Sending a prayer and good wishes your way.

They've changed quite a bit since those days. No pins and they're an all-in-one deal (the outer part is PUL waterproof fabric) with an insert you take out. Plus all the snaps make them adjustable from newborn to toddler. This was my first effort and I screwed it up a little so will use it as my sample instead but this gives you an idea of this century's cloth diapers.

You go girl. Lovely to be using nappies instead of Pampers. I cannot, for the life of me, understand why folks would use baby wipes instead of faceclothes. Does not make sense and just so much more garage for our planet.

Thanks, nice to be back. Potato Salad? Ok. As long as there is fried chicken to go with it  (Just have to get off
this baby food first :encouragement:)

The woods are lovely dark and deep
This isn't the thread for sullying, but my wife insisted on using cloth diapers. If I had a nickel for every time I pricked a finger on those damn pins I'd be living on an island next to Johnny Derp.
Cloth diapers are so environmentally sensible. I read somewhere that it takes 300 years for a disposable diaper to fully break down!! Then the experts came out and said it was only 30 years!!! AGH!!!
And that was probably only the fecal contents!!!!!

That's beautiful Tery. I have never saw one before.
It certainly is beautiful. I hadn't heard the term before either, so y'all know me. I Googled it! =D

Apparently, with the adult coloring books that are so popular these days, many folks are starting to color mandalas as part of their daily prayers. Pretty cool stuff!:cool2:
