Reached an end to several days of struggle trying to remove an old-fashioned red-flowering Japanese quince bush next to my Ray Bradbury tribute sculpture. I love these bushes but it had to go as I plan to expand the sculpture. I tried a regular shovel, short-handled shovel, and trowel, but couldn't come near reaching the end of the roots. After asking around for anyone who had a riding lawnmower, motorcycle, ATV, tractor, trained pulling mule, or dog sled team, and no takers, I took the shovel again and the clippers. All but the largest piece came out with at least some root. I had three people I thought were interested in having this bush or parts thereof. Two have turned it down and the other I have not heard from yet, so right now it's sitting in a flowerpot till I hear one way or another. I saturated any remaining roots with Roundup and let it soak in well before filling the hole. I never dreamed such a small bush could have such extremely deep roots!

UGH!

Just got some of the stuff I needed from my presentation partner. To be fair, the content wasn't bad but the presentation needed some polishing. Just finished that up and sent it back to him.

This would have been so much easier if I had just done the whole thing myself. I hate, hate, hate group projects in school! I'll be soo glad when this class is done.

It's a Russian word meaning "piece." Almost all (from what I can remember) slang words from "A Clockwork Orange" are transliterated Russian words.

Correct. The language was called Nadsat in the novel. Mostly slangerized Russian.

"eggy-weggies" is Russian? :biggrin2::chicken::dunno:

That would be the management communications class? I can understand how group projects might be problematic for anyone in that class!

My son said when he was in college, he would just tell his group, look, I'll write the paper and give you all credit. But someone else has to get up their and present it. They always went for it.

Why are you yelling in caps?
I'm pretty sure you can use Dirty Deeds without context or reference. Now I am thinking about reading.

Well...the caps were just for fun, ya know? It makes the energy higher when used right. I mean I don't have much a reason to not yell, ya know? Feels good to YELL :D Besides writing(which would be number 1), I'd say yelling and being loud is probably my tenth favorite thing to do if the timing calls for it!
