Not to hot to do roofing?

It won't be by the time I do the roofing jobs. Couple three weeks ago and for a time it was miserable humid, knocked off early a day or two, drank a lot of water, so forth so on. Now it is cooler mornings, cooler than what it had been. Rained all day Saturday but I got a lot of work done. Canning. Garden is winding down...should get a bunch from it still, but the signs are there...brown leaves on the tomato plants. They're drying up. A fallen leaf or two, fallen gold...autumn is coming. But I look forward to that, too...getting out in the bush, setting in a tree...the quiet, the incredible quiet you can hear the insects think. And then the snow and an even more incredible quiet...if you can stand the shivering. How about out east? Still hot and miserable? Or crazy weather like in so many places?

Recap of the last 4 days:

Friday - worked, entertained kids and cooked at the same time. Finished packing for vacation. Left at 5pm, drove from Staten Island, NY to Fredericksburg, VA.
Saturday - Drove from Fredericksburg, VA to Hilton Head Island, SC. Stopped for Lunch in Fayetteville, NC.
Sunday - Went to Coastal Discovery Museum, pool and relaxed for the most part.
Monday - Took kids to Pirate treasure hunt cruise, pool, miniature golf (my younger one face-planted and now has a busted lip), pool again.

We're hitting the beach tomorrow, then probably more island exploring and the pool, of course.

Had a black lab when lived in NJ. Had a bad snowstorm. He walked off the back porch, sunk into the snow and all you saw was a tail moving along the top of the snow.

Yes, rudder tail and head plow come up once in awhile. Marching on.

Lab tails are something else. Like a boat it works, while swimming. Change direction on a dime.

Sammy plays fetch too, obviously not in the snow or anywhere near a lake. He's been reduced to running after his toy on leash. Honestly, these laws. Oh, I found my dissolution of marriage paperwork! It needs slight revision but should be ready to file by Wednesday.

did another window job, replaced one window, replaced two pieces of glass in another, got paid , loaded up, went home ate lunch, unloaded some things from the truck (ladders, a few tools), put some debris (old windows, boxes with other construction debris) into the bed, finished up with that...waited for a rep from a company that...i dunno, i guess they officiate/pay out the money generated for a energy-efficiency rebate thingy, she came, we talked, she left, i headed out for the transfer station 'bout 12 miles away, forgot to stop at the bank on the way through...one of the pieces of glass had welded itself to the truck bed (hot day, high 80s, full sun) and had to pick pieces of glass (big ones) out...pull, this black goop on the double-glazing, sheesh...$23...talkd to tery a bit, she'd built a coop for some high-end partridges she has, head back, stop at the window customer and drop off some rebate paperwork, stop at another potential customer to measure some basement windows (they weren't home and i forgot to call them tonight, alas)...time i got back it was close to supper, then a nap, then a few phone calls, then i decided to get away with it again, a bowl of ice cream, banana, strawberry on top. some reading. i did do two estimates this morning...i think...or was that yesterday? this morning i think. emailed them out. time to do some reading. hard country. kearny has found his son. yippe ki aye.

Sick day today. Had a headache when I went to bed last night and woke up this morning with a full on migraine

Feeling better now, though.

Tomorrow is work in the morning, work outing in the afternoon, final Managerial Communication class after that.

Waiting on parts of our group final presentation from my partner. The thing is due tomorrow and he is still not done with his parts. I think that might be a contributing cause of my migraine!!
